Kyo Logic attends DevCon 2015

At the end of July, Kyo Logic was fortunate enough to make an impact at DevCon. Not only did our own Tim Neudecker present two different exhibits, our company was able to connect and network with other business developers to share and expand our own IT capabilities.

FileMaker's DevCon is a great opportunity for people in the tech world to meet other developers, as well as exchange information and knowledge. It is also gives us a chance to show clients that we have the most up-to-date knowledge of FileMaker and everything that the solution has to offer.

Our objectives for participating in the show were simple, as we wanted to learn about our peers' strategies for implementing FileMaker solutions in a professional setting, as well as sharing our wealth of information with other developers who were in attendance at our two two exhibits.

These exhibits were a success, and Tim was again able to engage with audiences wanting to know everything about what KYO Logic and FileMaker have to offer. The two sessions offered by Kyo Logic were titled "Partnering with IT for Successful Deployment" and "Calculation Functions that Every Developer Should Know."

The latter session went through the more than 30 built-in FileMaker functions with example calculations, and how they can be applied to a variety of professional settings. "Partnering with IT for Successful Deployment" covered the many different topics concerning FileMaker and IT support, from getting IT's approval on a buy-in to how they can properly support FileMaker's solutions.

One of the best aspects of FileMaker is how easily you can save and store away your data. These backups will make it possible for you to work without worrying about losing your stuff part of the way through a project because everything will be stored automatically.

FileMaker is always working to improve itself, which means that patches and updates will regularly be available in order to keep the system running as efficiently as possible. The latest products and software updates are tested and thoroughly vetted before being released.

What are the key improvements of FileMaker 14? [Video]

Hey everybody and welcome back! This time, we’ll be looking at the key upgrades that are part of FileMaker 14.

The greatest aspect of FileMaker 14 is how robust it is, as FileMaker does not restrict the number of networked Go or Pro clients. Technical limits will be decided by your own hardware and operating system, not FileMaker itself.

FileMaker 14 also allows you to protect your data by setting scheduled back-ups, which will run even when the software is being used. You will also have access to your data on a 24/7 basis.

Introducing FileMaker 14 [Video]

Hey everybody and welcome back! This time, we’ll be taking a look at what’s new with the FileMaker 14 server.

It’s a situation nobody wants to deal with — losing a server connection and having all of your work go with it. Now FileMaker 14 puts you right back where you were in your solution when the connection was dropped, saving you time and frustration.

FileMaker 14 also comes with enhanced password protection. When you are setting the password, the admin control will evaluate how strong it is, and there will also be a four digit number required if you ever want to change that password.

FileMaker Go vs Pro [Video]

Hey everybody and welcome back! This time, we’ll be taking a look at some of the differences between FileMaker Go and FileMaker Pro.

FileMaker Pro is great for you to manage your databases while working, meaning you can fully utilize all that FileMaker has to offer through either your desktop or a tablet, such as the iPad.

While FileMaker Go can now access these databases, it can only do so in certain instances. You can find, sort through and add records, but editing them is more of a challenge than with FileMaker Pro.

The great thing about using FileMaker on your iPad is how easy the tablet makes data management. You can collect, edit, search and even sort out the relevant data that you need right on your iPad.

If you are using your iPad to make an eye-catching report for work, FileMaker is there to help! While creating and displaying graphs and charts is something you can do, FileMaker also makes it possible for you to print your materials using AirPrint.
